Our story
From a Pennsylvania farm to the Eastern Shore
"I have been in the tropical fish and aquarium business for about 40 years (yes, I started young). I prefer to use a mix of live and artificial plants in an aquarium to keep the water quality healthy, but with less mess. For years, good quality, natural looking artificial plants seemed impossible to find. So in 2016, after lots of experimenting, my husband and I started making and selling our own. We have been using them for years in our personal, shop and service clients' aquariums. And the fish seem to love them too!"

Lower Forty Farm, Inc. began in 2007 in Berks County, Pennsylvania: an aquarium services company, an online store, and a remodeling business under one roof. In 2022 the family moved to the Eastern Shore of Maryland, where every plant, planter and piece of artwork is made today.
